  1. PC with Intel® Pentium®/Celeron®/Xeon™, AMD K6/Athlon™/Duron™ or compatible processor. Processor must be 500MHz or higher

     To recognize multi-page documents, additional memory may be required depending on your operating system.

    When the font size is large, some screens may not be displayed properly.
    In that case, use a smaller font size.

Starting ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap™ 4.1

Before you start scanning you need to select an application into which ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap will export recognized text. Right-click the ScanSnap Manager icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen and select Scan Button Settings....

To start scanning your document, press the Scan button on the ScanSnap. Once the scanning is complete the program will automatically recognize the text and export it into the application of your choice.

Important! Only registered users are eligible for free technical support. You can register your copy of the application at our Web site or by selecting Register on General Options tab.

It is also recommended that you provide the report file to the technical support team. To generate the report file you should do the following:
1. Open Start > All programs > ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap(TM) 4.1 > ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap(TM) 4.1, General Options tab
2. Click About button. Click System info button.
3. Click "Send..." button to create the message with the report file attached. You can also save the file on your computer by clicking "Save..." button.
To close the dialog, click "Exit" button.
